Billy Poole was a rising star in the sport of extreme skiing.
On Tuesday, he was being filmed for a ski documentary in a rugged area of Utah, when he jumped a cliff and landed hard amongst rocks. The 28-year-old rising star was flown to University of Utah Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

One of the first items in my stack this morning, as I began the first workday of 2008, was a report on the total number of salvation responses we received in 2007. And what a great way to start the year! We had almost 400 more salvation responses last year than our previous best year.
