Wednesday, March 17th, 2010For Saint Patrick’s Day, here is an excerpt from my book, Theology in a Nutshell, quoting part of the masterful “Saint Patrick’s Breastplate.”
Christ is in the believer (“Christ in you”).
The apostle Paul stressed the importance of this: “To them [His saints] God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this […]

A Family’s Journey of Faith
Friday, August 8th, 2008“Some of our most significant milestones in faith can occur within the day-to-day life of our families. Moments of praying together for a sick child and experiencing the joy of God’s healing, seeking guidance together for a parent’s challenges at work and witnessing God’s intervention, celebrating children’s first attempts to share God’s love with friends, […]

They are loaded with it, and can provide an […]
Why I Wrote the Book “Theology in a Nutshell”
Thursday, July 24th, 2008“We don’t believe in doctrine here—just the Bible.” A lady confidently said this to me at the close of a service at which I was the guest speaker.
I think she thought her words sounded pious. But her statement is just not possible. To say one believes in the Bible but not in doctrine is akin […]
Book Review: Jonathan Edwards: A Life by George M. Marsden
Thursday, June 26th, 2008My review of this great book was posted on the Yale University Web site, after being published in Today’s Pentecostal Evangel. Here it is:
“This book will be a delight to lovers of religious biography and the history of revival. This may be the most comprehensive of the many biographies of Edwards. It also surpasses others […]
Book Review: The Hour That Changes the World by Dick Eastman
Wednesday, June 25th, 2008The Hour That Changes the World by Dick Eastman was a milestone in my prayer life, clearly showing how easy it can be to spend an hour with God. Eastman peppers his writing with great quotes from great people of prayer. An exceptionally practical aid for the serious practitioner of prayer or the believer longing […]
Book Review: Humility by Andrew Murray
Tuesday, June 24th, 2008This is one of the few books I reread on a regular basis. It challenges me every time I dip into it. All Christians need it … but those in highly visible positions need it the most. I highly recommend this book. It can also act as a gateway to Murray’s many other anointed writings.
