My Book “Theology in a Nutshell” Scheduled for Release

By Ken Horn | June 11, 2008

My book Theology in a Nutshell is scheduled for release by September on the Onward Books imprint. It is a book based on my convictions that learning the truths of God’s Word is definitely for everyone, not just those with seminary educations; and the teaching of the Bible should be easily understood.

For me, this work is the intersection of academic work, pastoral ministry and popular writing—an attempt to provide valuable information in down-to-earth form.

I’m excited about the format, which highlights the most important Bible truths while giving basic scriptures and highlighting the truths with numerous interesting illustrations. It will not be like slogging through an academic volume. I believe the book will be enjoyable to read, even as it teaches.

I taught theology in college and as a pastor, and write about it as a Christian journalist. I know the importance of these topics and I have learned that lofty truths can be presented in down-to-earth terms.

The book will be appropriate for personal and small-group study.

Watch this blog between now and September for more news of the book. Readers of this blog will be offered a discount.

I think that simple is always best! Jesus was able to narrow it all down to two commandmants! I’ll be anxiously awaiting a sneak peek at your book!
