Two Friends Named Paul
By Ken Horn | February 19, 2008
My friend Paul Veliquette, pastor of the Windsor (Colo.) Assembly of God, wrote our Daily Boost devotional today. Daily Boost is a devotional that TPE puts out every weekday, available both online or by free email subscription.
Paul’s devotional is of special interest to me because it is about a mutual friend who is no longer with us.
Here’s how Paul begins:
Run the Race
I have been blessed during the years of my ministry to connect with many
great men and women of God. They have taught me so much about being faithful
and faith-filled. Hebrews 11 is an awe-inspiring list of people of great
faith. It is apparent to me that the chapter has not yet been finished. The
“cloud of witnesses” continues to grow every day as others demonstrate that
kind of faith. One such man is Paul Bruton, son of missionaries.
I’d like you to read what Paul V. has to say about Paul B. I was very young when I first met Paul Bruton. He was a pk (pastor’s kid) at the first Assemblies of God church I attended. I was a small child; Paul was a few years older. His dad, Paul Bruton, Sr., was our pastor at Full Gospel Temple in Richmond, California (Hilltop Community Church today).
Later, I connected with Paul again when he was at Bethany, and even worked on a book with him. He was indeed an inspiring individual.
Read the Daily Boost here. It will be available in our archive after today, under February 19, 2008.

Hey Ken,
Tried to find your email contact info, but no success. It’s been a while since last seeing you at Calvary Temple after you first arrived in Spfd, I think it was. Don’t know if you remember that we are in Scotland. Interestingly, I was thinking about Paul Bruton Jr. yesterday and was going to contact him. When I was trying to find his info, I found your blog with his name and pulled it up. I didn’t realize he had passed away. That was very sad news. Trust you are well. Bev
